Which invoices does it charge?

The nightly task charges only the open invoices that are due for auto-debit, with the auto-debit settings of your client groups. It skips each client whose Automatic Payments setting is off.

What does it change in Blesta and at Stripe?

In Blesta, it adds a payment gateway, a staff list, a client page, a nightly task and five email templates. At Stripe, it creates a customer for each client and keeps the payment method there. Your other gateways do not change.

Which payment methods can my clients use?

Cards, and the bank methods that your Stripe account offers for the currency. Examples are SEPA Direct Debit through iDEAL, Bancontact or Sofort, and Boleto in Brazil.

Why would I use two Stripe accounts?

For example, you open a new Stripe account for a new company. New clients go to the new account, and your current clients keep paying on the old one. No client has to connect again.

Does it work on Blesta 5?

No. Version 3 needs Blesta 6.0 or later and PHP 8.2 or later. The staff pages use the Blesta 6 design, with dark mode.

Can I try it before I connect Stripe?

Yes. Mock mode answers every Stripe call with sample data, with no Stripe account. You can show a successful charge, a declined card or a pending direct debit.

How do I update an older installation?

Upload the new files and click Upgrade on the plugin, then on the gateway. Your secret key becomes the default account and your stored payment methods stay on it. Your current Stripe webhook keeps working, so no client connects again.

Upload the plugin and the gateway, install the plugin first, and add your Stripe account and its webhook. In Blesta, the plugin is listed as 'Stripe Payment Intents Manager' and the gateway as 'Stripe Payment Intents'. Then install the gateway and select its currencies.

Keep two or more Stripe accounts in one Blesta. New setups go to your default account, and each stored payment method keeps its own account. Your current clients keep paying with no new setup.

Clients connect once

A client connects a card or a bank account one time on the secure Stripe Checkout page. Blesta stores one payment method for each currency. The card details stay at Stripe.

Invoices paid every night

Each night, Blesta charges the due auto-debit invoices with your own auto-debit settings. The client gets an email before the charge and a receipt after it.

Pay in one click

On the pay page, the client pays open invoices with the stored method in one click. A client with no stored method sees a setup button instead.

Bill a client from the profile

Your staff select the invoices or type an amount, and charge the stored method from the client profile. Staff permissions decide who can bill.

Bank debits and slow payments

Cards work, and so do the bank methods that your Stripe account offers, such as SEPA Direct Debit and Boleto. A payment that clears later shows as pending until Stripe settles it.

Refunds and disputes in both directions

Send a full or partial refund from the Blesta transaction, and Stripe returns the money. Refunds and disputes that start at Stripe are recorded on the client account.

No email storm on failed charges

A failed charge is tried again within your Blesta retry limit. After the last try, the method pauses and the client gets one final email, not one every night.

Five client emails you control

Your clients hear from Blesta before a charge, after it, and when a card fails. Five email templates, and you edit the text of each one in Blesta.
