Sell S3-compatible object storage from Blesta on your own MinIO or RustFS servers. Automated bucket provisioning and full service lifecycle, client self-service, safe staged deletions, and optional metered bandwidth and disk billing.
Provision buckets and bill usage from your own MinIO or RustFS servers — no per-client setup.
Every service gets its own bucket and dedicated S3 access keys, with the full lifecycle handled — activation, edits, suspension, unsuspension, and cancellation. Suspension locks only that bucket, never the client's other services.
Clients manage everything from the Blesta client area: a usage and quota dashboard, access-key creation and rotation, and bucket visibility, tags, versioning and lifecycle rules.
Cancelled buckets are queued for staged deletion, so buckets with millions of objects never time out. Use automatic or admin-approved mode, and reactivated services get their bucket restored automatically.
Meter per-bucket bandwidth and disk hourly on metered plans. Only egress above the plan's allowance is billed — uploads never are — and overage charges are appended to the service invoice automatically.
Let clients serve their public bucket from their own subdomain (e.g. files.customer.com) — DNS-verified, admin-approved, with automatic TLS via Caddy or Cloudflare. Offer it as a billable add-on through a Blesta configurable option.
Clients browse folders, upload and download objects, and create time-limited share links straight from the Blesta client area — no separate S3 client to install.
Everything you need to sell object storage on your own MinIO or RustFS servers.
Yes. Provisioning and staged cleanup work on both MinIO and RustFS. The optional usage metering (bandwidth and disk billing) requires MinIO together with a Prometheus server; everything else runs on either backend.
Blesta 5.x on Linux with shell_exec and exec enabled, and network access from the Blesta server to your storage server's S3 API. The MinIO Client (mc) is bundled, so there is nothing extra to install on the Blesta server. For usage billing you also need MinIO and a Prometheus server.
Each service automatically gets its own bucket and a dedicated S3 user with its own access keys. The module handles the complete lifecycle — activation, edits, suspension, unsuspension and cancellation — and suspension locks only the suspended bucket, leaving the client's other services unaffected.
Clients manage their storage entirely from Blesta: a Usage tab with disk usage, quota progress and monthly totals; an Access Keys tab to create and rotate S3 keys; a Bucket Options tab for visibility, tags, versioning and lifecycle rules; and a File Manager to browse, upload, download and create share links.
Cancelled buckets are queued for staged deletion instead of deleting inline, so buckets with millions of objects never time out. It supports automatic or admin-approved mode with two approval gates, restores buckets for services reactivated before deletion, keeps a permanent audit history, and can retry failed deletions with one click.
Yes. Per-bucket bandwidth and disk usage are collected hourly and rolled up into monthly totals. Only downloads (egress) above the plan's included allowance are billed — uploads never are — and overage charges are appended to the service invoice automatically. Metered usage requires MinIO and a Prometheus server.
Yes. Clients point a subdomain of their own (e.g. files.customer.com) at their public bucket; it is CNAME-verified automatically and admin-approved before it goes live. TLS is issued automatically via Caddy (on-demand Let's Encrypt) or Cloudflare for SaaS, and you can charge for it as a Blesta configurable option. Signed and API access always stay on the platform domain.
Yes. An administrator guide and a client guide (which you may copy into your own knowledge base) are available in our Knowledge Base, and support is provided via ticket.
